A Monthly Folklore & Folk Traditions Gathering
The Lantern Society
A gathering for curious minds drawn to folklore, spirits,
divination, historical magic, mythology, symbolism, old books,
ritual traditions, and the stories that have shaped culture for
centuries.
About the Society
Gather Around the Lantern
Each month, we investigate a different mystery, belief, legend,
or practice through books, history, discussion, tarot symbolism,
historical sources, ritual objects, and hands-on exploration.
This is not a traditional book club. Books support the
investigation, but they are not the whole point. The Lantern
Society is for people who want to ask questions, examine old
traditions, compare symbolism, share strange stories, and explore
the line between folklore, magic, myth, and the unseen.
When We Meet
First Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM
Meetings usually run about 90 minutes.
Most gatherings are held at Cozy & Content, although
some investigations include walks or meetings at other
locations. Check the individual event details before
attending.
Who It’s For

history.
You do not have to be an expert, practitioner, or scholar.
